Church and Community Notices

The Girls' Choir of St Fin Barre's Cathedral will sing EVENSONG this Saturday, November 21^st at 7 p.m. sharp in St Peter's Church, Bandon. The setting will be by Noble. They will also sing excerpts from Faure's Requiem. Malcolm Wisener, Cathedral Organist and music director, will conduct. James Taylor, Assistant organist at the Cathedral, will accompany and also play some solo pieces on organ.

Mothers’ Union: The AGM on Thursday, 19^th November, at 8.00 p.m. will be followed by a Knitting Bee, preparing squares for blankets for the Neo-natal unit at Cork University Maternity hospital. The M.U. Literature Stall will be on display for people to buy Christmas, cards, books, etc..

Holy Trinity, Rathclaren:  From November to March the church will be open on Saturday and Sunday only, from 10:00a.m.

Community Carol Service: Weekly practices are open to all and continue on Thursdays at 8.30pm in St Peter's Church.  The Service itself will be in St Peter’s on Friday, 18^th December, at 8pm.

World Day of Prayer planning meeting: Ardfallen Centre, Cork. Thursday, 19^th November, at 1.45p.m.

Bandon Flower Club Annual Dinner: Munster Arms Hotel on Monday, 16th November, at 7.30pm. Christmas Flower Arranging Demonstration by Margaret Ahern AOIFA.  Tickets from committee members or call June at (023) 8842167  or Gerardine at (023)  8841068.

Fundraising dance in aid of Castlelack National School will be held in Castleahan Enniskeane on Sat 21st Nov 2009 at 10pm. Music by Michael Collins Band.  Tickets available at the door.
